DOROVÅ embraces the unconventional. His fresh take on electric guitar is driven by who he is and by the music that molded a passion for anthemic rock.
Alex, aka DOROVÅ, debuted in the 2010s with alt-rock band Valadares, playing regional shows and tours, including at Vans Warped Tour, The Whiskey a Go Go, Moore Theatre, and a featured appearance with Sheila E.
Alex kickstarted a solo venture in 2016, releasing the ballad-turned-epic single “Fool” and pop anthem “Love is Free”, followed by funk-infused track “Way I Do”. An EP, ‘genuality.’ followed before everything paused in 2020.
Post-2020 proved to be a major growth point, serving as a period of self-discovery and a time of renewed inspiration in his songwriting and ambitions. An example was the guitar-centric three track EP, DOROVÅ’s 'Rona Tapes, a collection of basement-tracked demos recorded during the pandemic, heralding a renewed focus around his affinity for rock forward music.
DOROVÅ’s latest chapter finds him residing in Los Angeles, relaunching the band with the initial rock hectic single, ‘Out and Awake’—a blistering declaration to accept ourselves for who we are, regardless of what others may perceive. Followed by riff driven, ‘Never Gonna Die’, due out Fall of 2026, these electric new tunes are produced and mixed by Eric Emery (Blink-182, Yellowcard, Yungblud).
